1962 Corvette pro touring ls3

What better car to build a Pro-Touring machine from than a C1 Corvette. Americas iconic sports car. We started this build with a beautiful 62 vette. Great paint, nice interior, Nothing wrong with it…except the 1962 technology. We started from the bottom up and took this corvette from great to amazing. Starting with a Corvette Corrections frame designed to run C4 aluminum independent suspension and a Dana 44 rear end. We also fitted C5 corvette brakes for some added stopping power. It handles like its on rails and stops on a dime. We chose the LS3 power plant and T56 six speed transmission from Turnkey Performance. The reliable and proven LS3 makes about 500 hp (and gets pretty good gas mileage). We kept the engine compartment clean with a smooth shaved firewall, hidden hoses and Custom Champion cooling radiator. The hood is fitted with a Dakota Digital electric lift controlled from the drivers seat. We created a 1 off engine cover for the LS3, Water jet cut and tig welded featuring custom billet machined LS3 badges backed with carbon fiber and a custom machined aluminum vented grill. The longer you look at this corvette you continue find one off components crafted in house that cant be bought anywhere else. For the Interior we had to go with a set of custom Al Knock leather seats. You will also find Dakota Digital gauges fitted in the dash with a custom autosound stereo & ipad control. The Vintage Air blows cold with the top down on a summer day. This Pro-Touring Vette features only top shelf components front to back. It is up to date with all of the modern comforts and a ton of performance. When it was all said and done the guys at Chevy Hardcore put together a great photo shoot featuring the Red 62.
