We wanted to take a Harley Sportster and stretch it to the same wheel base as the full side Dyna and Softail models. The donor was 04 Sporty with only 500 miles on it. The perfect bare bones bike to start with. We developed a +4″ stretched swing arm that utilized all of the factory hardware and mount points. The build direction was a retro board track style bike. With a lot of open space at the rear a 21″x 3.25″ fit in the back with room to spare. We chose a set of our own Wicked Image Inc. Viper style wheels for a new current twist on a vintage styled bike. We went to RWD for some new fenders and turned to Jim Smith of Smith Designs for paint. Collaborating with Jim we came up with concept of the 1915 Harley Color Combo. Frankie Serrano made us a killer 2 to 1 straight exhaust that fit the bike perfect and it compliments the scoop air filter from cyclevisions. Saddlemen seat stitched up a killer solo seat fitting our new rear fender and stretch. The once to small Sportster was now a comfortable fit for a full size guy. The dual 21″ wheels makes this bike extremely agile. A few more one off touches like the custom pegs and linkages make it one of a kind. The one off vintage mirrors were 3D machined from billet aluminum, they came out so nice they were put in to the Wicked Image production line. Our friends at Hot Bike Magazine ran it as a feature bike. Thanks to them for the great photography.
